Ad hoc advice: Disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings, dignity at work complaints, monitoring of emails and internet use, misuse of social media, absence management, calculation and payment of holiday pay (a current hot topic), flexible working requests, family friendly issues, the rights of fixed term and part time workers, dealing with agency staff etc.

Provision of references: What are your obligations in relation to references for past employees?

Trade Union recognition and industrial action: Dealing with collective consultation, and what to do when it all goes wrong.

Termination of employment and “protected conversations”: How to suggest that an employee might wish to “move on”. Ensuring that there is a comprehensive Settlement Agreement to deal with the agreed termination and discharging all claims against the business.
