We understand that you need clarity with regards to costs therefore our fees are discussed at the outset and can be flexible to your business or personal circumstances. This page outlines the payment options for employers and employees.
Costs – Employers
We will discuss our fees and payment options with you at the outset. These could include hourly rates to allow you to “pay as you go”, we can agree fee quotes for pieces of work or using legal expenses insurance if you have cover under such a policy. We also have the option of a retainer fee. Please contact us to discuss further or to make an appointment.

Costs – Employees
The usual approach is for all work to be charged at agreed hourly rates. You should check whether you have legal expenses insurance (taken out for example as part of your home insurance). We do not offer a Legal Aid option or offer a free meeting and we do not do work on a “no win no fee basis”.
Settlement Agreements: If you are being asked to take advice on a Settlement Agreement your employer is asking you to sign, your employer may have agreed to make a contribution towards your legal costs. This may not cover our full costs at the agreed hourly rate, but we can ask the employer to increase their contribution. We will always let you know if we are likely to exceed the level of the employer’s contribution.
Initial Consultation Fixed Fee Package for Employees: Up to 60 minute meeting £295 including VAT
For all other matters, we can offer an Initial Consultation Fixed Fee Package for Employees. This is a fixed fee initial exploratory meeting with one of our team of dedicated employment law solicitors who will discuss the issues with you and then provide you with knowledge about your rights and obligations and the options available to you.
What should you bring to the meeting?: To allow us to advise you we will require you to bring identification, namely your passport and a current bank statement or utility bill showing your current address OR your photographic driving licence. We cannot give you advice until you have provided these documents.
When do you pay?: At the meeting you will be asked to pay the Fixed Fee (see left) by debit card, credit card or cash. If you wish us to do further work for you after the initial consultation meeting, we will issue terms of business setting out our feeing arrangement, agree with you the basis of payment and when these sums are to be paid. In some cases a payment to account of fees may be requested upfront.
What if I require additional assistance?: This will be discussed fully with you at your meeting.
